This is our way of bringing the 3sgte into the 21st century with removing the outdated cable operated throttlebody. With most early modifications including a mappable ECU and most of those ECUs supporting drive by wire it was an easy descision to develope the kit below.
The upgrade comes with many advantages over the cable driven item, Greatly increased stablity in idle control, Crisper and Tunable throttle responce and Cruise control, Between Gear Throttle Blipping being many options available depending how you configure this kit in the ECU.
The kit includes
- Adaptor to mount a Bosch 68mm ETB to the Gen 2 3sgte.
- Genuine Bosch 68mm Throttlebody
- Intake - Choice of a silicone hose style inlet for 3inch hoses, or a Clamp type assembly which uses a billet aluminium clamp and double viton o ring making it impossible for the connection to leak or seperate under boost. These also include an accompaning male fitting in either Stainless Steel or Aluminium for custom intercooler piping.
- Also all 304 Stainless Steel Hardware, Gaskets and Viton O Rings.
- All TBDev parts are made from Billet Aluminium, Hard Anodised Black
This is everything required to mount the ETB onto the engine, although you will still need to wire it to your standalone aftermarket ECU, and a Drive by Wire throttle pedal assembly to supply the ECU a throttle position input signal.
